The rate of the reaction ATP → ADP + phosphate will increase, but by a smaller factor than for the reaction ADP + phosphate → ATP.

In this case the rate at which dissociation of adenosine triphosphate into adenosine di-phosphate and inorganic phosphate will form( ATP → ADP + phosphate) will be enhanced by the same factor by which the the inorganic phosphate and adenosine di phosphate will combine to form adenosine triphosphate(ADP + phosphate → ATP).
