The beilief is that if you do something good you have good Karma or you reincarnate to something good and have a good life!  And that that good actions bring good luck! Hope that helps! :)

They are both based on the belief that your actions affect your luck. For reincarnation, if you do good things, you will be reincarnated as a good creature and karma is based on the belief that your action
s will result in something good or bad happening to you
