What property of a solution remains the same after it is diluted? (3 points)

Chemistry

Dilution means adding more solvent to a solution to lower down its concentration and in that process volume of solution expands. That means on diluting a solution the following parameters will change:

1. Amount of solvent

2. Total volume of the solution

3.Concentration of the solution

So the parameter that does not change is the amount of solute that will remain constant on diluting a solution, So here the the answer will be the amount of solute that will remain unchanged during dilution.

What is the density of fluorine gas, F2, at STP? E) 0.848 g/L B) 1.18 g/ L C ) 1.70 g/L D) 0.589 g/L
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

C ) 1.70 g/L

Explanation:

Using ideal gas equation as:

PV=nRT

where,

P is the pressure

V is the volume

n is the number of moles

T is the temperature

R is Gas constant having value = 0.0821 L.atm/K.mol

Also,

Moles = mass (m) / Molar mass (M)

Density (d) = Mass (m) / Volume (V)

So, the ideal gas equation can be written as:

PM=dRt

At STP,

Pressure = 1 atm

Temperature = 273.15 K

Molar mass of fluorine gas = 38 g/mol

Applying the equation as:

1 atm × 38 g/mol = d × 0.0821 L.atm/K.mol × 273.15 K

⇒d = 1.70 g/L

Why are significant figures NOT important when solving problems in your math class?
Alex Ar [27]
They're not important when solving math problems in class because you need to get the correct and accurate answers hence don't need to change them into significant figures

What is the oxidation half-reaction for this unbalanced redox equation? cr2o72– + fe2+ → cr3+ + fe3+ cr3+ → cr2o72– cr2o72– → cr
KatRina [158]

Answer:

6Fe^2+(aq) -------> 6Fe^3+(aq) + 6e

Explanation:

The balanced oxidation half equation is;

6Fe^2+(aq) -------> 6Fe^3+(aq) + 6e

A redox reaction is actually an acronym for oxidation-reducation reaction. Since the both reactions are complementary, there can't be oxidation without reduction and there can't be reduction without oxidation.

The main characteristic of redox reactions is that electrons are transferred in the process. The number of electrons transferred is usually deduced from the balanced reaction equation. For this reaction, the balanced overall reaction equation is;

Cr2O7^2–(aq) + 6Fe^2+(aq) +14H^+(aq)→ 2Cr^3+(aq) + 6Fe^3+ (aq) + 7H2O(l)

It is clear from the equation above that six electrons were transferred. Thus six Fe^2+ ions lost one electron each in the oxidation half equation as shown in the balanced oxidation half equation above.

What does a most-favored-nation (MFN) status mean?
MatroZZZ [7]

Most Favored Nation status is an economic position in which a country enjoys the best trade terms given by its trading partner. That means it receives the lowest tariffs, the fewest trade barriers, and the highest import quotas (or none at all).

I got this from google, hope it helps! :)
