How to do 3 and 4 questions
Kipish [7]

Answer:

3) Q = -836.8 J.

4) Q = 950J.

Explanation:

Hello there!

In this case, for those calorimetry problems, we use the general equation:

Q=mC\Delta T

Thus, we proceed as follows:

3) Here, the temperature difference is from 80 °C to 40 °C, the mass is 5.0 g and the specific heat 4.184 in SI units; thus, the heat is calculated as follows:

Q=(5g)(4.184\frac{J}{g\°C} )(40\°C-80\°C)\\\\Q=-836.8J

4) Here, the temperature difference is from 100 °C to 200 °C, the mass is 5.0 g and the specific heat about 1.90 in SI units; thus, the heat is calculated as follows:

Q=(5g)(1.90\frac{J}{g\°C} )(200\°C-100\°C)\\\\Q=950J

Regards!

Whats the difference between speed and velocity
babunello [35]

Answer:

Hey there!

Speed is a scalar, and only has magnitude, or size. On the other hand, velocity is a vector and has magnitude and direction.

Let me know if this helps :)

Why is it more accurate to say that the concentration of a solution of acetic acid is 0.01 f rather than 0.01 m?
olasank [31]

A 1 F solution stands 1 formula unit per litre and 0.01 F describes the concentration of solution with no deliberation for the real form of existence of species.

Molarity is defined as the ratio of moles of solute to the volume of solution in litres and it is used to describe formality. For accuracy, it is essential to expressed molarity of each species. In case of acetic acid, the molarity of acetic acid molecules is less than 0.01 M due to dissociation.

Thus, it is more precise to say that the concentration of a solution of acetic acid is 0.01 F instead of 0.01 M.

Acellus<br> How many grams of strontium<br> (Sr, 87.62 g/mol) are in 2.92<br> moles of strontium?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

There are 255, 85 grams of Strontium in 2,92 moles.

Explanation:

We perform a simple rule of three to calculate the number of grams, knowing that one mole of Sr weights 87, 62 grams:

1 mol Sr---------87, 62 grams

2,92 mol Sr-----x=(2,92 mol Sr x-87, 62 grams)/1 mol Sr= 255,8504 grams
