Answer:

R₈₀ = 146.43 Ω

Explanation:

The resistance of a resistor depends upon many factors. One of the main factors of the change in resistance of a resistor is the change in temperature. The formula for the resistance at a temperature other than 20°C is given as follows:

R₈₀ = R₀(1 + αΔT)

where,

R₈₀ = Resistance of wire at 80°C = ?

R₀ = Resistance of wire at 20° C = 104 Ω

α = Temperature coefficient of resistance for copper = 0.0068 °C⁻¹

ΔT = T₂ - T₁ = 80°C - 20°C = 60°C

Therefore,

R₈₀ = (104 Ω)[1 + (0.0068°C⁻¹)(60°C)]

<u>R₈₀ = 146.43 Ω</u>

Three displacements through a hedge maze. (b) The displacement vectors. (c) The first displacement vector and its components. (d
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

18.3 m , 25.4°

Explanation:

d1 = 6 m, θ1 = 40°

d2 = 8 m, θ2 = 30°

d3 = 5 m, θ3 = 0°

Write the displacements in the vector form

d_{1}=6\left ( Cos40\widehat{i}+Sin40\widehat{j} \right )=4.6\widehat{i}+3.86\widehat{j}

d_{2}=8\left ( Cos30\widehat{i}+Sin30\widehat{j} \right )=6.93\widehat{i}+4\widehat{j}

d_{3}=5\widehat{i}

The total displacement is given by

\overrightarrow{d}=\overrightarrow{d_{1}}+\overrightarrow{d_{2}}+\overrightarrow{d_{3}}

d=\left ( 4.6+6.93+5 \right )\widehat{i}+\left ( 3.86+4 \right )\widehat{j}

d=16.53\widehat{i}+7.86\widehat{j}

magnitude of resultant displacement is given by

d ={\sqrt{16.53^{2}+7.86^{2}}}=18.3 m

d = 18.3 m

Let θ be the angle of resultant displacement with + x axis

tan\theta =\frac{7.86}{16.53}=0.4755

θ = 25.4°

A manufacturer selected a metal to use in producing a lightweight button for clothing. A metal that has a density of 2.71 g/cm3
Natali5045456 [20]

Just find the density of every metal and select the one with a density of 2.71 g/cm³ . This is:

Metal 1

ρ = m/V

ρ = 22.1 g / 3 cm³

ρ = 7.367 g / cm³

Metal 2

ρ = m/V

ρ = 42 g / 4 cm³

ρ = 10.5 g / cm³

Metal 3

ρ = m/V

ρ = 9.32 g / 5 cm³

ρ = 1.864 g / cm³

Metal 4

ρ = m/V

ρ = 8.13 g / 3 cm³

ρ = 2.71 g / cm³

<h2>R / Metal 4 was selected.</h2>

The half-life of a certain radioactive substance is 12 hours. There are 19 grams present initially. a. Express the amount of su
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

(a) N=19\times e^{-\lambda t}

(b) 15 hours

Explanation:

half life, T = 12 hours

No = 19 g

(a) Let N be the amount remaining after time t.

Let λ be the decay constant.

\lambda =\frac {0.6931}{T}

The equation of radioactivity used here is given by

N=N_{o}e^{-\lambda t}

N=19\times e^{-\lambda t}

(b) N = 8 gram

Substitute the values in above equation

\lambda =\frac {0.6931}{12}

λ = 0.0577 per hour

So, 8=19\times e^{-0.577t}

e^{-0.0577t}=0.421

Take natural log on both the sides

- 0.0577 t = - 0.865

t = 15 hours

When is a sailboat the stand on vessel in relations to a recreational power boat?
qwelly [4]
The stand-on vessel is the one that is on the starboard side of a boat, and its red light or streamer is visible to you. The situation where a sailboat would be the stand-on vessel will be then the sailboat is overtaking the power boat.

The opposite of a stand-on vessel is the give-way vessel, which is on the port side, the green light or streamer of which is visible to you.
