The answer is 19

work :

1-multiply the numbers by a submultiple of 10 to remove the decimal points.
17.1 \times 10 = 171 \\ \\ 0.9 \times 10 = 9

2-

now do the division :
171 \div 9 = 19

so the answer is 19

note: there is no need to get it back to decimal number unless you multiply just one of the numbers or multiply the numbers with different submultiples of 10

good luck

First you can multiply both numbers by 10 to remove the decimals

Then you just divide 171 by 9
=19

Given the following definition, compute Q(5). Q(n) = 0 if n = 0 2 if n = 1 4 if n = 2 Q(n − 1) + Q(n − 2) + Q(n − 3) if n > 2
aalyn [17]
We have
Q(0)=0\\
Q(1)=2\\
Q(2)=4
and Q(n)=Q(n-1)+Q(n-2)+Q(n-3)\mbox{ when } n\ \textgreater \ 2.
So
Q(3)=Q(2)+Q(1)+Q(0)=4+2+0=6\\
Q(4)=Q(3)+Q(2)+Q(1)=6+4+2=12\\
Q(5)=Q(4)+Q(3)+Q(2)=12+6+4=22.

Peter is the owner of a hotel. He has found that when he charges the nightly cost of $139, the average occupancy is 275. In addi
zimovet [89]

Answer:

Without price increase, Cost/night = $119

Average occupancy = 372 The revenue will be 119*372 = $44,268

For every $15 price increase, the occupancy decreases by 25. Therefore with x price increases, The revenue will be $(119 + 15x)*(372 25x)

Cost/night = $119 + 15x Occupancy = 372 - 25x

Answer:

The nightly cost with x $15 price increases is $119 + 15x.

If 6 people want to share a 30 pound bag of beans equally by weight how many pounds of beans should each person get? Between wha
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

The 6 people would each get 5lb. of beans. 5 lies between 4 and 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

To get the answer to this problem, all you have to do is divide the total pounds of beans by how many people there are. 30 ÷ 6= 5, so each person would get 5 pounds. Since 5 comes between 4 & 6, you can use that as your answer.
