4 0

Answer:

The equation that gave the solution provided is either

x² + 5x + 4 = 0 or k(x² + 5x + 4) = 0 where k = real number

Step-by-step explanation:

Although, the question isn't complete and the blanks to be filled aren't provided, Hence, we can work out a quadratic equation from the solutions for x given

The solutions for x include x = -4 or x = -1

x = -4 or x = -1

(x + 4) = 0 or (x + 1) = 0

So,

(x+4)(x+1) = 0

x² + 4x + x + 4 = 0

x² + 5x + 4 = 0

Hence, the equation that gave this solution is either x² + 5x + 4 = 0 or a constant multiple of the equation obtained; k(x² + 5x + 4) = 0

Hope this Helps!!!

Solve each question for x.<br> xe^-x+7e^-x=0
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

x=-7

Step-by-step explanation:

xe^-x+7e^-x=0

factor out the e^-x

e^-x(x+7)=0

e^-x=0, x+7=0

-x=ln(0), x=0-7=-7,

since ln(0) is undefined,

the only solution is -7.

Is second term of a geometric series is 48 and it's fifth term is 6 then find the sum of the first 6 terms.
AlekseyPX

Answer:

the sum of the first 6 terms =189

Step-by-step explanation:

the first 6 terms-

96,48,24,12,6,3

I found them easily by dividing 48 with random small numbers until I got 6 for the fifth term. So here I divided 48 by 2 which is = 24(3rd term), then divided 24 by 2 which is =12(4th term) and then again decide the answer by 2 and finally got 6 for the 5th term. So the ratio is 1/2. For the first term I did the opposite, multiply 48 by 2 which is = 96. And lastly find the sixth term and add them up which is = 189

I tried my best to explain it in simple terms, hope this helps:)
