Answer:

0.25

Explanation:

Magnification = image distance/object distance

mag = v/u.................. Equation 1

Given: f = -10 cm ( diverging lens) u = 30 cm.

Where can calculate for the value of v using

1/f = 1/u+1/v

make v the subject of the equation

v = fv/(u-f)..................... Equation 2

Substitute into equation 2

v = -30(10)/(30+10)

v = -300/40

v = -7.5 cm.

substituting into equation 1,

mag = 7.5/30

mag = 0.25

hence the magnification of the wretch = 0.25

You oughtta be able to do this one.

The "efficiency" is just the portion of the input work that
comes out in a useful form.

If the efficiency is 70%, that tells you that however much work
you put INto the machine, the machine will do 70% of that much
work for you at the output side.

Put 20,000 J in ... out comes (0.70) x (20,000 J)  =  14,000 J .

What happens to the other 30% of the work you put into it ?
It turns into HEAT.  That's why machines always have to be
cooled somehow while they're running.

Amanda [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

  We shall apply concept of Doppler's effect of apparent frequency to this problem . Here observer is moving sometimes towards and sometimes away from the source . When observer moves towards the source , apparent frequency is more than real frequency and when the observer moves away from the source , apparent frequency is less than real frequency . The apparent frequency depends upon velocity of observer . The formula for apparent frequency when observer is going away is as follows .

f = f₀ ( V - v₀ ) / V , f is apparent , f₀ is real frequency , V is velocity of sound and v is velocity of observer .

f will be lowest when v₀ is highest .

velocity of observer is highest when he is at the equilibrium position or at middle point .

So apparent frequency is lowest when observer is at the middle point and going away from the source  while swinging to and from before the source of sound .

What is the momentum of an adult female that is 75 kg riding a bicycle travelling at a velocity of 30 km/h.
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

momentum is written as p

p = mass * velocity

p = mv

30 km per hr = 30 * 1000 meters per 3600 seconds

velocity = 30000 meters per 3600 seconds

p = mv

p = 75 * 30000 / 3600

p = 625 kilogram per meter second

Why are less massive stars thought to age more slowly than more massive stars have much less fuel?
docker41 [41]
The reason being nuclear reactions are slow in less massive stars than in massive stars hence they age slowly.
