Ason buys a pizza for $\$15.59$. He also buys $6$ sodas. Each soda costs the same amount. He spends $\$23.33$ on the pizza and t

he sodas.
Jason finds the cost of each soda by calculating $(23.33\ -\ 15.59)\ \div\ 6$. Tim finds the cost of each soda by solving the equation $15.59\ +\ 6c\ =\ 23.33$, where $c$ is the cost of each soda.

Which approach uses the sequence of operations necessary to find the cost of each soda: Jason’s, Tim’s, both, or neither? Explain why.

Answer:

Both because they're basically the same thing ;-;

Step-by-step explanation:

1) 23.33 - 15.59 = 7.29

  7.74/6 = 1.29 So he bought 1 soda ;-;

2) 15.59 + 6c = 23.33 - Subtract 15.59 from both sides:

    6c = 7.74 - Divide both sides by 6

    c = 1.29 So he bought 1 soda again

The rest of the money is probably the tax so ;-;

Good luck and hopefully I helped!

-8= 3-5(x+6) solving algebraicaily
SOVA2 [1]

Let's solve your equation step by step

-8=3-5(x+6)

Step 1: simplify both sides of the equation

-8=3-5(x+6)

-8=3+(-5)(x)+(-5(6) (distribute)

-8=3+-5x+-30

-8=(-5x)+(3+-30) (combine like terms)

-8=-5x+-27

-8=-5x-27

Step 2: flip the equation

-5x-27=-8

Step 3: add 27 to both sides

-5x-27+27=-8+27

-5x=19

Step 4: Divide both sides by -5

-5x/-5 = 19/-5

Answer : x= -19/5
