So to find the mean you add them all together and divide by the number of numbers there is so 11+15+19+17+23+20+17+18+21=174 and there are 10 numbers so it would be 174/10 which is 17.4 so you answer is 17.4

I really need help they never taught me this in my old school.
SIZIF [17.4K]
To find this, just plug the numbers into the expressions.

5x = y
5(2) = 7
10 = 7
So it can't be A.

x + 2 = y
2 + 2 = 7
4 = 7

x + 4 = y
2 + 4 = 7
6 = 7

2x + 3 = y
2(2) + 3 = 7
7 = 7

The correct answer is
D. 2x + 3

Find the length of the missing side to the nearest tenth of a unit.
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

The length of the missing side of the nearest tenth unit is 9.0m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The triangle hypotenuse(c) = 15m, leg 2(b) = 12m and leg 1(a) = ? .

Now, to get the missing side we put formula  to find it:

Hypotenuse² = (leg 1)² + (leg 2)²

c^{2}= a^{2} +b^{2}

15^{2} =a^{2} +12^{2}

225=a^{2}+144

Now, subtracting both sides by 144 we get:

225-144=a^{2}+144-144

81=a^{2}

Using square root on both sides:

9=a

a = 9m.

The number 9 can be written in decimal form as 9.00 . As we have 0 in the hundredth place, we don't add anything to the tenth place.

Therefore, the length of the missing side of the nearest tenth unit is 9.0m.
