Solution-

∵ she earns $50 per day and she worked 30 days in the quarter.

∴ Her total earning for this period = $(50×30) = $1500.

Also she earns 3% commission for her sales.

∴ Her total earning by commission =3% of $4596= $ (3×4596)/100

                                                           = $ 137.88

∴Total amount earned by Paige= $137.88+$1500

                                                     =$ 1637.88

Answer:

A 2-column table with 3 rows. Column 1 is labeled x with entries 14, 28, 42. Column 2 is labeled y with entries 2, 4, 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

A 2-column table with 3 rows. Column 1 is labeled x with entries 16, 32, 48. Column 2 is labeled y with entries 1, 2, 4.

No, as x= 4 ⇒ y =64 not 48

A 2-column table with 3 rows. Column 1 is labeled x with entries 1, 5, 6. Column 2 is labeled y with entries 5, 20, 30.

No, as x = 5 ⇒ y = 25 not 20

A 2-column table with 3 rows. Column 1 is labeled x with entries 14, 28, 42. Column 2 is labeled y with entries 2, 4, 6.

Yes, as 2*7 = 14, 4*7= 28, 6*7= 42

A 2-column table with 3 rows. Column 1 is labeled x with entries 0, 1, 3. Column 2 is labeled y with entries 25, 70, 90.

No, x = 3 ⇒ y= 25+3*45= 160 not 90

A taxi charges a pick-up fee p!us a charge per mile. Maria paid $15.00 for a 7 mile rode. To my paid $19.50 for a 10 mile ride.
lukranit [14]

Answer:

The y-intercept in coordinate form is (0, 4.5) and represents the taxi pick-up fee.  The equation is y=1.5x + 4.5.

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is asking for the slope and y-intercept of a linear equation.  A linear equation makes a straight line based on a constant rate of change.  For this problem, the cost per mile is the slope, while the independent variable 'x' is the number of miles and the dependent variable 'y' is the total cost.  In order to first find slope, you need to use the two points given (7, 15) and (10, 19.5) to set up a change in y / change in x, or (19.5-15)/(10-7) or 4.5/3 which is 1.5.  So the slope, or cost per mile is $1.50.  To find the y-intercept (b), or the cost of the pick-up fee, simply fill in your equation y=1.5x + b with your other variables and solve for 'b'.  So, 15 = (1.5 x7) + b.  or 15 = 10.5 +b, subtract 10.5 from both sides of the equation to get b=4.5.

Which point is a solution to the system below 2y<-12x+4 y<-6x+4?
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer: All points in the shaded region after 2y<-12x+4 is the solution.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

2y

We need to find the point of solution to the system of inequalities:

Suppose

2y=-12x+4\\and\\y=-6x+4

We first check the consistency of the system of equation:

\frac{a_1}{a_2}=\frac{b_1}{b_2}=\frac{c_1}{c_2}\\\\\frac{2}{1}=\frac{-12}{-6}=\frac{4}{4}\\\\2=2\neq 1

So, it is parallel system of equations, but we consider it as an inequality, so all the points in the shaded region is the solution.

Using zero test,

2y

0<4 it is true so, shaded part is towards the center.

Similarly,

y

0<4 again it is true it would be shaded towards the center.

So, the common part will be after 2y<-12x+4 .

Hence, all the points in the shaded region is the solution.
