Spore test is performed to ensure the effectiveness of autoclave because they are highly resistant cell that protects the bacterial genetic material.

Further Explanation:

Sterilization is the process used to destruct all form of microorganism such as bacteria, fungi and endospore. Autoclaving and autoclave sterilization is the common method in which <u>high temperature is used to destroy microbes and spores</u>. This technique is able to destroy those microbes which are hard to destroy by conventional method.

Endospore are the outer covering of the gram positive bacteria which provide the <u>high resistant to cell to protect its genetic material</u>. They are able to survive high environmental assaults such as high temperature, chemical destruction, U.V radiation and desiccation that will kill normal microbes.

Spore test is the method used to <u>measure the effectiveness of the</u><u> </u><u>autoclave</u>. In this test <u>non pathogenic spores are used</u>. These spores are placed along with other equipment in the autoclave and run it as per the given instruction. After autoclaving analyze it by culture method. In case of positive result the autoclave is not functioning properly.

Find the equilibrant of two 10.0-N forces acting upon a body when the angle between the forces is 90° Solve graphically using a
bazaltina [42]

The equilibrant force of the two given forces is 14.14 N.

<h3 /><h3 /><h3>What is equilibrant force?</h3>
  • This is a single force that balances other given forces.

The given parameters:

  • First force, F₁ = 10 N
  • Second force, F₂ = 10 N
  • Angle between the forces, θ = 90⁰

The equilibrant force of the two given forces is calculated as follows;

F = \sqrt{F_1 ^2 + F_2 ^2} \\\\F = \sqrt{(10)^2 + (10)^2} \\\\F = 14.14 \ N

Thus, the equilibrant force of the two given forces is 14.14 N.

a 5.0 kg ball is dropped from a 2.5 m high window. what is the velocity of the ball just before it hits the ground?
julsineya [31]

Answer:

Approximately 7.0\; \rm m \cdot s^{-1}.

Assumption: the ball dropped with no initial velocity, and that the air resistance on this ball is negligible.

Explanation:

Assume the air resistance on the ball is negligible. Because of gravity, the ball should accelerate downwards at a constant g = 9.81 \; \rm m \cdot s^{-2} near the surface of the earth.

For an object that is accelerating constantly,

v^2 - u^2 = 2\, a \, x,

where

  • u is the initial velocity of the object,
  • v is the final velocity of the object.
  • a is its acceleration, and
  • x is its displacement.

In this case, x is the same as the change in the ball's height: x = 2.5\; \rm m. By assumption, this ball was dropped with no initial velocity. As a result, u = 0. Since the ball is accelerating due to gravity, a = 9.81\; \rm m \cdot s^{-2}.

v^2 - u^2 = 2\, g \cdot h.

In this case, v would be the velocity of the ball just before it hits the ground. Solve for

v^2 = 2\, a\, x + u^2.

\begin{aligned}v &= \sqrt{2\, a\, x + u^2} \\ &= \sqrt{2\times 9.81 \times 2.5 + 0} \\ &\approx 7.0\; \rm m\cdot s^{-1}\end{aligned}.

Explain why you can only change one variable in an experiment
ohaa [14]
The purpose of an experiment is to LEARN the EFFECT of something.

The way you do that is to CHANGE the thing and see what happens.

You can change as many things as you want to.  But If you change
TWO things and observe the result, then you don't know which one
of them caused the effect you see.

Or maybe BOTH of them working together caused it.  You don't know.

So your experiment is not really much good.  You need to do it again.
