First we will go to the section that lists that students that like hotdogs.  76 students out of 150 like hotdogs.  Out of those 76 students, which of them like burgers?
32 students like hotdogs and burgers.  32/76 is equal to .421..., which when multiplied by 100 is equal to approximately 42.1%.  We found the conditional frequency, or the column frequency.  The correct answer is C.

x = -16 or x = 5

Solution:

Given polynomial:

x^{2}+11 x-80=0

To find the roots of the polynomial.

Split the middle term 11x.

11x = 16x - 5x

x^{2}+11 x-80=0

x^{2}+16x-5x-80=0

(x^{2}+16x)+(-5x-80)=0

Take the x common in first 2 terms an -5 common in next 2 terms.

x(x+16)-5(x+16)=0

Take (x + 16) common in both terms.

(x+16)(x-5)=0

x + 16 = 0  or  x - 5 = 0

x = -16       or   x = 5

Hence x = -16 or x = 5.

Broccoli costs $1.50 per pound at a store. How much money does 32 ounces of broccoli cost?
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

$3.00

Step-by-step explanation:

First you will see how much ounces 1 pound is and it will be 16 then if you multiply 16 by 2 you get 32 so I'd be 2 pounds and If 1 pound is $1.50 then 2 pounds would be $3.00

5x y>_10 x y<_6 x 4y>_12 x>_0 y>_0 minimum for c=10,000x + 20,000y
Serga [27]

We are given inequalities : 5x+y=>10

x+y<=6

x+4y=>12

x=>0

y=>0 .

Let us graph it first and the find the coordinate of the vertices of feasible region.

Coordinates of the feasible region are (1,5) , (1.474, 2.632) and (4,2).

Now, we need to plug those cordinates (1,5) , (1.474, 2.632) and (4,2) in the given function c=10,000x + 20,000y.

Let us plug those points one by one.

For (1,5)

c=10,000x + 20,000y = 10,000(1)+ 20,000(5)= 10,000+ 100,000 = 110,000.

For (1.474, 2.632)

C = 10,000(1.474)+ 20,000(2.632) = 67,380.

For (4,2)

C = 10,000(4)+ 20,000(2) = 80,000.

We got the minimum value 67,380 for (1.474, 2.632) coordinate.

Therefore, minimum for given function C=10,000x + 20,000y is 67,380.
