How do you divide a negative number and a positive number? My problem is -19÷13.
cestrela7 [59]

When you divide a negative and a positive, you don't have to worry about the negative that much. Just divide like normal, and then add the negative at the end. However, if you divide a negative by a negative, it's double negative, and therefore positive. So in the case of -19 / 13, the answer would be negative.

Hope this helps! :)

Eddie's Evergreens sells Christmas trees and wreaths. Trees cost 3 dollars more than 4 times the price of each wreath. It costs
kari74 [83]

Answer:

W = 16

T = 67

Step-by-step explanation:

Represent trees with T and wreaths with W

Given

T = 3 + 4 * W

2 * W + T = 99

Solving (a): Cost of W

Substitute 3 + 4 * W for T in the second equation

2*W + 3 + 4 * W = 99

2W + 3 + 4 W = 99

Collect Like Terms

2W + 4 W = 99 - 3

6W = 96

Divide through by 6

W =\frac{96}{6}

W = 16

Hence, each wreath costs $16

Solving (b): Cost of T

T = 3 + 4 * W

Substitute 16 for W

T = 3 + 4 * 16

T = 3 + 64

T = 67

Hence, each tree costs $67

Which point is an x-intercept of the quadratic function f(x) = (x + 6) X – 3)?
Anni [7]

Answer:

(-6, 0) and (3, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

I think you meant f(x) = (x + 6)(x - 3).  This graph intersects the x-axis in two places:  (-6, 0) and (3, 0).  These are the "x-intercepts."
