<span>Heat in a substance is still an example of heat or thermal energy. Heat or thermal energy is further defined as the amount of available molecules of kinetic energy transferred in a specific amount of time. Heat is nothing if it is not transferred from one object to another. There are many uses of heat energy. When we are cooking using our stoves, there is heat energy. When we pour hot water onto our cup of coffee, there is heat energy.</span>

Part complete How long must a simple pendulum be if it is to make exactly one swing per five seconds?
shtirl [24]

Answer:

L=6.21m

Explanation:

For the simple pendulum problem we need to remember that:

\frac{d^{2}\theta}{dt^{2}}+\frac{g}{L}sin(\theta)=0,

where \theta is the angular position, t is time, g is the gravity, and L is the length of the pendulum. We also need to remember that there is a relationship between the angular frequency and the length of the pendulum:

\omega^{2}=\frac{g}{L},

where \omega is the angular frequency.

There is also an equation that relates the oscillation period and the angular frequeny:

\omega=\frac{2\pi}{T},

where T is the oscillation period. Now, we can easily solve for L:

(\frac{2\pi}{T})^{2}=\frac{g}{L}\\\\L=g(\frac{T}{2\pi})^{2}\\\\L=9.8(\frac{5}{2\pi})^{2}\\\\L=6.21m

Physics Homework MathPhys homie if you see this pls help
cluponka [151]

Answer:

1. -8.20 m/s²

2. 73.4 m

3. 19.4 m

Explanation:

1. Apply Newton's second law to the car in the y direction.

∑F = ma

N − mg = 0

N = mg

Apply Newton's second law to the car in the x direction.

∑F = ma

-F = ma

-Nμ = ma

-mgμ = ma

a = -gμ

Given μ = 0.837:

a = -(9.8 m/s²) (0.837)

a = -8.20 m/s²

2. Given:

v₀ = 34.7 m/s

v = 0 m/s

a = -8.20 m/s²

Find: Δx

v² = v₀² + 2aΔx

(0 m/s)² = (34.7 m/s)² + 2 (-8.20 m/s²) Δx

Δx = 73.4 m

3. Since your braking distance is the same as the car in front of you, the minimum safe following distance is the distance you travel during your reaction time.

d = v₀t

d = (34.7 m/s) (0.56 s)

d = 19.4 m

En un rio una Onda viaja con una velocidad de propagación de 50 m/s con una longitud de Onda de 40 metros. Hallar la frecuencia
sattari [20]

Answer:

Frequencia = 1.25 Hz

Explanation:

<u>Dados los siguientes datos;</u>

  • Velocidad = 50 m/s
  • Longitud de onda = 40 metros

Para encontrar la frecuencia de la onda;

Matemáticamente, la velocidad de una onda viene dada por la fórmula;

Velocidad = Longitud \; de \; onda * Frequencia

Haciendo de la frecuencia el tema de la fórmula, tenemos;

Frequencia = \frac {Velocidad}{Longitud \; de \; onda}

Sustituyendo en la fórmula, tenemos;

Frequencia = \frac {50}{40}

<em>Frequencia = 1.25 Hz</em>

The answer is -7m, but I don’t know how that’s the answer. Can anyone explain?
atroni [7]

Explanation:

At first it is in 14m position but position doesn't matter in displacement, similar case for time taken.

So at first it travels 6m in positive direction.

So displacement= 6m

Then it travels 13 in opposite or negative direction.

So displacement = 6 -13 m = -7 m

Hope it helps ya

Is it polar or non-polar... i need help on all of them plz hurry
Murljashka [212]
Answers

1.) non-polar

2.) non-polar

3.) Polar

4.) Polar

Non-polar molecules are essentially molecules that have an even distribution of of electrical charges.

Polar molecules is the separation of electric charges, having one positive end and another negative end.
