1 half of the birds at a pet store are yellow. tara buys 1 of the yellow birds. then one third of the birds at the store are yellow. how many yellow birds were at the store before tara bought one

There were 3 yellow birds. 3 is half of 6 and after Tara bought 1, there would be 2 yellow birds left. Which is 1/3 of 6. Hope this helps!!
