</span></span>2. Solving the whole number parts

<span>6+9=15

</span>3. Solving the fraction parts

<span><span>\frac{7}{9} + \frac{8}{9} = \frac{15}{9}

</span></span>4. Reducing the fraction part, 15/9,

<span><span>\frac{15}{9} = \frac{5}{3}

</span></span>5. Simplifying the fraction part, 5/3,

<span><span>\frac{5}{3} =  1\frac{2}{3}

</span></span>6. Combining the whole and fraction parts

It's correct. The only problem is entering it. Is a fraction OK or do you need to break it down to 16.6666

10
I don't wonder that you are having trouble with this.

Do it in parts.
numerator
3/4 - 3/2 = 3/4 - 6/4 = - 3/4 Notice what happened. You multiplied top and bottom of 3/2 by 2
= 3*2 = 6
2 * 2 = 4

Now do the denominator
1/4 - 3/5 =
5/20 - 12/20
= - 7/20

What do you have?
-3/4 // - 7/20 Now invert and multiply
- 3/4 * - 20 /7
= 60/ 28
= 15 / 7 Where did the two minus' go?

Answer:

(3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The method of variable substitution is a way of solving a system of equations. It involves solving one equation for a variable and then substituting in the expression that represents the value of the solved variable into the other equation. After doing so, one can solve for the unknown variable and then backsolve for the other variable.

y=-2x+8\\y=x-1

In this system, the second equation is already solved for (y), thus one can substitute that expression into the other equation in the system.

x-1 = -2x + 8

Now solve using inverse operations,

x -1 = -2x + 8\\+2x\\\\3x - 1 = 8\\+1\\\\3x =9\\/3\\\\x = 3

Backsolve to find the value of (y), substitute in the value of (x), and solve for the value of (y).

y=x - 1\\

Substitute,

y=(3)-1

Solve,

y=2

Thus, the answer to this system of equations is the following, (3,2).

There is no answer as this isn't an equation. And moreover it's in its simplest form.
