Two cars drive on the same highway in the same direction. The graphs show the distance, d, of each one as a function of time, t.
andrey2020 [161]

Answer:

  • Car B

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>The equation for the speed is:</u>

  • s = d/t

From the equation we see for the same t the speed is greater if d is greater.

We can show that if add a vertical line to a graph and compare the d- values of the intersection of the vertical line with the graphs of the cars.

It obvious the graph of the Car B will have a greater d- value.

It means that Car B has a greater speed so it is faster that Car A.

How would u do 1 over 3 y + 1 over 4 = 5 over 12? I forgot my notes:(
malfutka [58]
Is it
\frac{1}{3y} + \frac{1}{4} = 5
or
\frac{1}{3} y + \frac{1}{4} = 5
?

both start out the same, just remember what you do to one side you have to do to the other, so subtract both sides by 1/4, then you want to get y alone, so either divide or multiply the 3 on both sides! let me know which it is and I can help you out more

[edit] it's the second, and not going to use cross multiplication.
added a picture that walks you through it :)
