The final volume of the gas is still 2.4 L, unless you also move it into a different jar or tank. A gas always fills whatever container it's in.

Answer:

0.9 L

Explanation:

Using the Combined Gas law which states that "the ratio of the product of the pressure and the volume, and the absolute temperature of a given gas is a constant".

Mathematically, the Combined gas law is given as

\frac{P_{1} V_{1} }{T_{1} } = \frac{P_{2} V_{2} }{T_{2} }

Where;

P_{1} is the initial pressure of the gas = 1.5 ATM

V_{1} is the initial volume of the gas = 2.4L

T_{1} is the initial temperature of the gas = 273K

P_{2} is the final pressure of the gas = 4.5 ATM

V_{2} is the final volume of the gas = ? (Let it be x)

T_{2} is the final temperature of the gas = 313K

Substituting the given values into the Combined gas law equation, we have;

\frac{1.5*2.4}{273} = \frac{4.5*x}{313}

Solving for x gives

=> x = \frac{1.5 * 2.4 * 313}{273 * 4.5}

=> x = 0.9L

Therefore the final volume of the gas is 0.9L

no, it not useless. we still learn Bohr's model in HS n dats almost 200 yr old! while there may be new models, previous one is good for explaining the basics. it is also useful to learn previous model n see how our understanding improves over time.

Skylar travels 50 meters N and then goes 30 meters W before coming straight back south 20 meters. What distance did she travel?
lesya [120]

Answer:

100\ \text{meters}.

Explanation:

Distance Skylar traveled North is 50\ \text{meters}

Then she traveled 30\ \text{meters} Westward.

After which she traveled 20\ \text{meters} towards the South.

The total distance traveled would be the sum of the distances.

50+30+20=100\ \text{meters}

The distance traveled by Skylar was is 100\ \text{meters}.
