Solve for possible values of x. 3x^2 = 18x
uysha [10]

(0,0) and (6,0)

First we subtract 18x from both sides

3x²-18x=0

Factor out a 3x

3x(x-6)=0

This means that x is either 0 or 6

Consider the equation below. (if an answer does not exist, enter dne.) f(x) = 5 cos2(x) − 10 sin(x), 0 ≤ x ≤ 2π
jolli1 [7]
The given equation is a wave function. When plotted, the graph is shown in the attached picture. However, the unit is in degrees instead of radians. A unit of π  is equivalent to 180°. This plot could determine one variable if the other is given.

Anyone know how to find the area of an equilateral triangle circumscribed about a circle, given the radius of the circle?
tia_tia [17]
Warning: This might be rough...
First draw it out. Label the angles at the corners of the triangle 60 (definition of equilateral triangles). Now draw a line from the center of the circle to the corner, splitting the corner in half. Label this line R and a corner as 30 degrees. No to find the height of this triangle, you do rsin(30). The base of this triangle is 2rcos(30). Now find the area of this mini triangle (rsin(30)*2rcos(30)/2=r/2*rsqrt(3)/2=r^2sqrt(3)/4). Now multiply this by 3 because you have 3 mini triangles... to get...

Please anyone help me The measure of an angle is five times the measure of its supplementary angle. What is the measure of each
Radda [10]

Answer:

150 and 30

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

Supplementary angles are angles that when added up equal 180

Which can be shown by

x + x = 180

Since one has to be 5 times bigger we put a 5 in front of one of the x's

5x + x = 180

5x is an angle and x is the other

Now we solve for x

5x + x = 180

Combine like terms

6x = 180

Divide by 6

x = 30

Now we put that into each angle

5(30) = 150

30

The answer is 150 and 30

Hope this Helps!
