I came up with something but not sure at all, so if you don't get anything better, check with your teacher to see if it makes any sense!

After spendings Ruben deposits $32.5

So I ask;
After how many of Shawna's $37.5 deposit + $750 will be equal to how many of Ruben's $32.5 + $850

i.e. 37.5x + 750 = 32.5x + 850

37.5x - 32.5x = 850 - 750

5x = 100

x = 20 weeks

I check this Ruben = 32.5x20wks + 850 = 1500

for Shawna = 37.5x20wks + 750 = 1500

It actually checks out. Good luck..

Train A and train B leave the station at 2 pm. The graph below shows the distance covered by the two trains. Compare the two spe
jarptica [38.1K]

Both trains travel for 7 time units.

Train A travels 385 distance units, so its speed is

\dfrac{385}{7}=55

Train B travels 577.5 distance units, so its speed is

\dfrac{577.5}{7}=82.5

Note that the units are not specified, but considering that we're talking about trains, the graph is likely to be showing distance in km (or miles) and time in hours.

Also, the distance traveled by train B is not perfectly aligned with the grid, so I assumed that it was the average between the two ticks of 550 and 605.
