Answer:

175 inches, 14.58 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of blue rope = 6 yards

also  Length of blue rope  = length of red rope * 3

=> 6 yards = length of red rope * 3

=> length of red rope = 6/3 = 2 yards

____________________________________

length of yellow rope =  2feet 7 inches shorter than red rope

1 yard = 36 inch

length of red rope in inches = 2 *36 = 72 inches

1 feet = 12 inches

difference of yellow and red rope in inches = 12* 2 + 7 = 31

length of yellow rope in inches = 72 inches -(12* 2 + 7 )= 72-31 = 41 inches

length of blue rope in inches = 36*6 = 216 inches

difference in length between the blue rope and the yellow rope = 216 - 41

                                                                                               = 175 inches

difference in length between the blue rope and the yellow rope in feet = 175/12 = 14.58 ft

If P(A)=0.4, P(A and B)=0.2,and P(A or B)=0.5, What is P(B)
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

\boxed{\ P(B)=0.3 \ }

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

We know that

P(A or B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A and B)

so P(B)= P(A or B) - P(A) + P(A and B)

so

P(B) = 0.5 - 0.4 + 0.2 = 0.3

thanks
