Answer:

If music is what helps you, make a play list of your favorite songs to listen to that help you calm down. Remember that you still have some method of contact and try to be excited for them on this new journey that's likely very hard for them too! I have had a close friend who moved away but we talk every day and have even found times to visit one another during summer or school breaks. It gets easier and it's just different for every person but if you stay in touch it might be different at first, but it gets easier with time. I am so sorry that your friend is moving away!

The <em>experimental probability</em> is calculated based on the results of the experiment; since the name Ted was chosen 26 times out of 123, the experimental probability is \boxed{\frac{26}{123}}.

Typically, the <em>theoretical probability </em>assumes that events are chosen randomly; since the name Ted is one of the 6 in the hat, the theoretical probability is \boxed{\frac{1}{6}}.

If we <em>increased</em> the number of names in the hat, we would expect both the experimental and theoretical probability to decrease, since there are now more names to choose from. Similarly, if we <em>decreased</em> the number of names in the hat, the experimental and theoretical probability would increase.

Evaluate the dot product of (7, 5) and (- 5, 4)
melamori03 [73]

Answer:

The dot product of (7,5) and (-5,4) is -15

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

(7,5) and (-5,4)

Required

Determine the dot product

Dot product is calculated using the following formula;

a.b = {a_1b_1+a_2b_2+...+a_nb_n}

Let a = (7,5) and b = (-5,4);

The above formula becomes

a.b = {7*-5+5*4}

a.b = {-35+20}

a.b = {-15}

Hence, the dot product of (7,5) and (-5,4) is -15

The equation below describes a parabola. If a is negative, which way does the parabola open?
const2013 [10]
Given equation : y=ax^2
Taking a to the other side we have, x^2=(1/a)*y
 This equation describes a parabola that opens up.
 When a is negative, the focus is on the negative y-axis, therefore, the parabola opens down.
 The answer is a. down.
