Which of the followings statements is true about cones?a. All of these statements are true.b. They are found in the fovea.c. The
levacccp [35]

Answer:

a. All of these statements are true

Explanation:

The fovea is a region of the retina that’s densely packed with cones, a type of photoreceptor (a cell that detects light). The other type of photoreceptor is the rod.

While <u>rods function at low light levels</u> and allow night vision, they can’t distinguish color. In contrast, <u>cones function at high light levels and provide color vision</u>.

That's why you can't perfectly distinguish colors in a dark place.

Explain the role of enzymes in living cells
xz_007 [3.2K]
First, the basic function of an enzyme is to increase the rate of a reaction. Most cellular reactions occur about a million times faster than they would in the absence of an enzyme. Second, most enzymes act specifically with only one reactant (called a substrate) to produce products.

Why o we need a reverse compliment for pcr amplifying?
navik [9.2K]

Solution:

Since, DNA occurs as a double strand where each A is paired with a T and vice versa, and each C is paired with a G and vice versa. The reverse complement of a DNA sequence is formed by reversing the letters, interchanging A and T and interchanging C and G. Thus the reverse complement of ACCTGAG is CTCAGGT.

And DNA has two strands: Forward and reverse. Miseq is the technique to sequence the DNA for various purposes such as mutation detection, important for disease diagnosis. Hence, one need to find the mutations in both strands rather than only the forward to strand, to prevent false positives and other artifacts.

This is the required answer.
