How are frequency and wave period Related?

Physics

The frequency and period of any wave are reciprocals.

Frequency = 1/period and Period = 1/frequency .

That means that the product of (frequency) times (period) of any wave is always the same. The product is always ' 1 ', with no unit.

What is the displacement of the object from 12 seconds to 16 seconds
spayn [35]

Answer:

<em>The displacement of the object is -8 m</em>

Explanation:

<u>Displacement</u>

The displacement of a moving object can be calculated as the area under (or above) the graph of velocity vs time.

If the area is below the y-axis, then the displacement is negative. Otherwise is positive.

It's important to differentiate displacement from distance. Displacement takes into consideration the direction of the movement. Distance does not and it's always positive.

From the graph provided, we can see the velocity from t=12 s from t=16 s is negative, and the displacement will also be negative.

The displacement is calculated as the area of the triangle with base b=16-12= 4 seconds and height = -4 m/s, thus:

\displaystyle D = \frac{4*(-4)}{2}=-\frac{16}{2}=-8\ m

The displacement of the object is -8 m

Explain what will happen of the copper pipe in the solar panel are replaced with Pvc pipes
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

Copper is the logical material for solar energy systems because:

[1] It has the best thermal conductivity of all engineering metals;

[2] Highly resistant to corrosion;

[3] Easy to fabricate

[4] Has been used both for plumbing and for roofs since metals were first employed in those applications.

For water heating and low-pressure steam, use of Type M tubes is recommended.

Calculate the net force on particle q1.
antoniya [11.8K]

By applying Coulomb's law between the charges, the net force on the charged particle q₁ due to particle q₂ and q₃ is -9.86 N.

<h3>Distance between q₂ and q₃</h3>

The distance between the second charge and the third charge is given as;

r = 0.3 m

<h3>Force on q₂ due to q₃</h3>

F_{2} = \frac{kq_2q_3}{r^2} \\\\F_{2}= \frac{(8.99\times10^9) (7.7 \times 10^{-6})(5.9\times 10^{-6}) }{0.3^2} \\\\F_2 = 4.54\ N

<h3>Net force on particle q₁</h3>

The net force on particle q₁ is determined by summing the individual forces together;

F(net) = F₁ + F₂

F(net) = -14.4 + 4.54

F(net) = -9.86 N

Thus, by applying Coulomb's law between the charges, the net force on the charged particle q₁ due to particle q₂ and q₃ is -9.86 N.
