Answer:

Cost of  new tile put in the den is $42 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

As given

Francis is getting new carpet tiles in his living room and den.

His living room and den are connected.

As given in the figure both living room and den are in rectangular form .

Thus

Dimensions of Den are

Length = 8 ft

Breadth = 3 ft

Area of den = 8 × 3

                     =  24 ft ²

As given

If each tile costs $2.00 per sq ft .

Cost of tiles put in the den = Area of den × Cost of tiles per square ft

                                             = 24 × 2

                                             = $42

Therefore the cost of  new tile put in the den is $42 .

Find the area of the following rectangle,
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

55/72 feet squared

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle is Length x Height, or Width x Height.

Here, we have a width of 5/6 feet and a height of 11/12 feet.

We multiple 5/6 and 11/12 to get 55/72 feet squared.
