Answer:

Cost of new tile put in the den is $42 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

As given

Francis is getting new carpet tiles in his living room and den.

His living room and den are connected.

As given in the figure both living room and den are in rectangular form .

Thus

Dimensions of Den are

Length = 8 ft

Breadth = 3 ft

Area of den = 8 × 3

                     =  24 ft ²

As given

If each tile costs $2.00 per sq ft .

Cost of tiles put in the den = Area of den × Cost of tiles per square ft

                                             = 24 × 2

                                             = $42

Therefore the cost of new tile put in the den is $42 .

OK so I added all them n umber's up from top to bottom up from left to right and I got 42. So sense each tile is 2 bucks, 42*2=84

what is the probability of drawing two yellow marbles if the first on is NOT place back into the bag before the second draw?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

1/45

Step-by-step explanation:

I assume there are 10 marbles total, 2 of which are yellow.

The probability the first marble is yellow is 2/10.

There's now one less marble, so the probability that the second marble is yellow is 1/9.

The total probability is (2/10) (1/9) = 1/45.

HIJK is a rectangle. Find the value of x and find the length of each diagonals. If hj=19+2x and ik=3x+22
viva [34]
Hj and ik are opposite sides of the rectangle so they areequal in length.

19 + 2x = 3x + 22
19-22 = 3x-2x
x = -3

We can't find the length of the diagonals as we have no information about the width.

Work out the formula for the nth term of the
quadratic sequence:
5, 11, 19, 29
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

n squared + 3n + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

5,11,19,29

Firstly look at the difference between each number. The first difference is 6 then 8 then 10 etc. After that you look at your created sequence - 6,8,10 etc. The difference is 2 each time. Then applying rules, you have to do the constant difference divided by 2 to get a coefficient of n squared. So in this case it's n squared because 2/2 = 1 so you don't have to place a 1 in front of the n squared. After you create a sequence from the n squared. That would be 1,4,9 etc. Then you need to see how to get from the sequence: 1,4,9 etc to your original sequence: 5,11,19 etc. So if you calculate it you will get 4,7,10 because firstly 5-1 = 4 then 11-4 = 7 etc. The sequence 4,7,10 is a linear sequence so the constant difference is 3 each time. So to get a nth term of a linear sequence you will start off as 3n then you will substitute 1 then 2 then 3 into the 3n. Therefore that would be 3,6 etc. So if you take the first substituted term, that would be 3 as said before then you will have to see how to get from the 3 to 4 so that is just adding 1. So the nth term of this linear sequence is 3n + 1. Check if it works at the end. So the overall nth term of the quadratic sequence is n squared as said before + 3n + 1.
