How would I graph 2x+3y=−9

Mathematics
1 answer:
Norma-Jean [14]3 years ago

2x+3y=-9

slope formula :y= mx+b

m is the slope. b is the y- intercept.

Need to change 2x+3y=-9 into slope formula

3y= -2x-9

Divide by 3

y=-2/3x-3

Now Graphing :

1. Do the y- intercept first and then the slope.

2. Put a dot on the y-axis for -3

3. Then the slope.

4. Count down 2 from -3.

5. You will go down to -5.

6. Go across three times. Put a dot .

The line will be straight.

That's it .

Exponent Laws - difference between product law and product raised to a power (with formula please)
enyata [817]

Answer:

Exponent laws:

1. Product law

x^{a}\times x^{b}\times x^{c}=x^{a+b+c}

In product law if bases are same then we add their respective powers.But if bases are different we can't add their powers.

x=base, a,b,c=exponent

If x=2 and a=3, b=5 , and c=10, then

2^{3}\times2^{5}\times2^{10}=2^{3+5+10}=2^{18}

2.Product raised to a power

1. [x^{a}]^{c}=x^{ac}

2. [x^{a}\times x^{b}]^{c}=[x^{a+b}]^{c}=x^{ac+bc}

If product is raised to a certain power , keeping the base same , we just multiply the powers.for example

[2^{3}]^{4}=2^{3\times4}=2^{12} and

[2^{3}\times3^{2}]^{2}=[2^{3}]^2 \times[3^{2}]^{2}=2^{6}\times3^{4}

[2^{3}\times2^{2}]^{2}=[2^{3+2}]^{2}=[2^{5}]^{2}=2^{10}

The new balance of a charge account is $145.00. The minimum payment is $20.00. If the interest rate is 1.5%, how much will the n
juin [17]
The balance is $145 but after one makes he minimum payment of $20, there is $125 left to pay. However interest is added before the next month’s bill is generated.

Remember that percent means out of 100. 1.5% means 1.5/100 = .015

To find 1.5% of 125 we multiply (.015)(125) = 1.875 But as this is money the interest is rounded to two decimal places and so is $1.88

We add this to 125 to get next month’s balance which is 125 + 1.88 = $126.88

Can someone help me and explain? I will mark brainlest. ♡
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

p'(4) = -3

q'(8) = \frac{1}{4}\\

Step-by-step explanation:

For p'(4):

p(x) = f(x)g(x) \\ p'(x) = \frac{d}{dx}(f(x)g(x)) \\ p'(x) = f'(x)g(x) +f(x)g'(x)

p'(4) = f'(4)g(4) + f(4)g'(4) \\ p'(4) = (-1)(3) +(7)(0) \\ p'(4) = -3

For q'(8):

q(x) = \frac{f(x)}{g(x)} \\ q'(x)= \frac{d}{dx}(\frac{f(x)}{g(x)}) \\ q'(x) = \frac{f'(x)g(x) -f(x)g'(x)}{{g(x)}^2}

q'(8) = \frac{f'(8)g(8) -f(8)g'(8)}{{g(8)}^2} \\ q'(8) = \frac{(2)(2) -(6)(\frac{1}{2})}{{2}^2} \\ q'(8) = \frac{4 -3}{4} \\ q'(8) = \frac{1}{4}
