The red cross was founded on May 21 1881 Washington D.C. Currently there are 190 countries involved in the Red Cross today. The Red Cross's sole purpose is to help those in need and make sure that people are healthy. For instance Indonesia has earthquakes and volcano eruptions. But the red cross in Indonesia is experienced on how to handle these disasters they can help people during these disasters. Hope this helps! ;D
