T = kh   where t = tons and h = hours,  k is the constant of variation

This is direct variation.

27 = k*3

 = 27/3 = 9

Equation of variation is  t = 9h

Amount produced in 8 hours  t  = 9*8  = 72 tons Answer

Which expression is equivalent to log2 9x^3?
marishachu [46]

Answer:

Option 1 - \log_{2}(9 {x}^{3} )=\log_{2}(9 ) +3 \log_{2}( {x}  ) - log Subscript 2 Baseline 9 + 3 log Subscript 2 Baseline x

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Expression \log_2(9x^3)

To find : Which expression is equivalent to given expression ?

Solution :

Expression \log_2(9x^3)

Applying logarithmic property, \log_{a}( MN )  = \log_{a}( M) + \log_{a}( N )

\log_{2}(9 {x}^{3} )  = \log_{2}(9 )  +  \log_{2}( {x}^{3}  )

Using property, \log_{a}(  { M}^{n} ) =n  \log_{a}(  { M})

\log_{2}(9 {x}^{3} )=\log_{2}(9 ) +3 \log_{2}( {x}  )

i.e. log Subscript 2 Baseline 9 + 3 log Subscript 2 Baseline x

Therefore, option 1 is correct.

Two lines intersect and two of the vertical angles measure 37°. What is the measure of the other two vertical angles?
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

286 degrees and 143 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

When line intersect the two vertical angle adds up to 180 degrees

To find the other vertical angle:

180 -37=143 degrees

So for two vertical angles

we take (180*2)-(37*2)=286 degrees

HELP PLEASE!
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

a

Step-by-step explanation:

y=6x²+12x+2

y=4x²+16x+16

6x²+12x+2=4x²+16x+16

6x²-4x²+12x-16x+2-16=0

2x²-4x-14=0

x²-2x-7=0

x²-2x+1-1-7=0

(x-1)²=8

x-1=±√8=±2√2

x=1±2√2

x≈1±2.83

x≈3.83,-1.83

x=2√2 -1≈1.828≈1.83

Sarafina and Katie have between $105 and $420 dollars to spend on jewelry for Christmas presents for their friends. If they buy
algol13

Answer:

66

Step-by-step explanation:

105+420=525   (Total Money)

7x3.25=22.75   (Cost of all bracelets)

8x11.74=93.92   (Cost of all necklaces)

93.92+22.75=116.67   (Cost of all Christmas presents)

525-116.67=408.33   (Total money - Cost of all Christmas presents)

408.33/6.15=66.39...   (Amount of necklaces)

since in real life you can only buy a whole number of things, you would round down 66.39 to 66. I hope this helped!
