Toby is three years old. His parents are concerned because he is always running and jumping around. He cannot seem to sit still.

Even when watching his favorite movie on TV, he fidgets and wiggles. It is especially frustrating to his parents when Toby does not sit still through dinner. What is the best advice for Toby's parents?

Answer: He should be left alone

Explanation:

I will let Toby's parents know that Toby is passing through an important developmental phase. At age 3, children starts explore their environment and starts understanding their body and mind.

They move around playing and jumping and becomes more imaginative while playing. For example, the child might assume he's playing with friends or pretend he's a doctor.

He should be left alone to explore his environment as it is a vital development phase that he has to pass through.

Answer: they should discover a method to always make him sit

Explanation:

Kids are sometimes difficult to control, and at times it requires some type of skill and style to control them, it will be quite easy if the kid understands the body language of his parent.

In Toby case, the parents has to develop a style that would make Toby sit or control him to sit and the technique will require a training and some caution to Toby .

Based on Gambriella's behavior we can say that she is in the middle of the "Sensorimotor Stage" of cognitive development. Jean Piaget's is the doctor that developed the cognitive theory of development. What additional new level has been proposed for the very top of maslow's hierarchy of needs above self-actualization?
REY [17]
Self-transcendence
Self-actualization is experienced when an individual has realized and fulfilled his full potential, his full-self. One of the best attributes of an actualized being is having the ability the accept his own self and others, thus making that person enjoy life and appreciate the beauty of each moment of experience.
While self-transcendence is "beyond self". This is the highest or the holistic level of human consciousness. A person who has reached this level has the ability to see others more important than his own self. This is the level where you are willing to lay down your own life for others. This is achievable only when we focus on things beyond the physical need; spiritual awakening is the key, the unity between the soul, the body and the spirit.
In short, self-actualization deals with the soul and self-transcendence deals with the human spirit.

What is physical activity?

Any voluntary bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure is defined as physical activity. Physical activity includes all activities of any intensity, at any time of day or night. It incorporates both exercise and incidental activity into the daily routine.

Physical activity can improve your brain health, help you manage your weight, lower your risk of disease, strengthen your bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday tasks. Adults who sit less and engage in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity reap health benefits.

Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity per day as a general goal.
