Answer:

This is an inelastic collision. This means, unfortunately, that KE cannot save you, at least in the problem's current form.

Let's see what conservation of momentum in both directions does ya:

Conservation in the x direction:

Only 1 object here has a momentum in the x direction initally.

m1v1i + 0 = (m1 + m2)(vx)

3.09(5.10) = (3.09 + 2.52)Vx

Vx = 2.81 m/s

Explanation:

Conservation in the y direction:

Again, only 1 object here has initial velocity in the y:

0 + m2v2i = (m1 +m2)Vy

(2.52)(-3.36) = (2.52 + 3.09)Vy

Vy = -1.51 m/s

++++++++++++++++++++

Now that you have Vx and Vy of the composite object, you can find the final velocity by doing Vf = √Vx^2 + Vy^2)

Vf = √(2.81)^2 + (-1.51)^2

Vf = 3.19 m/s

Answer: Lungs and Blood Vessels

Explanation:

one opening—a branch of the bronchial tube. Your left lung is divided into two LOBES. The PLEURA are the two membranes, actually, one continuous one folded on itself, that surround each lobe of the lungs and separate your lungs from your chest wall.

An airplane travels east at an air speed of 400.0 m/s into a head wind of 35.0 m/s. What is the airplane's ground speed?
mezya [45]

Velocity of the plane relative to the air = +400.0 m/s

Velocity of the air relative to the ground = -35.0 m/s (negative because it's moving opposite to the eastward direction)

Velocity of the plane relative to the ground = (velocity of the plane relative to the air) + (velocity of the air relative to the ground) = 365.0 m/s to the east

A block with a weight of 620 N is pulled up at a constant speed on a very smooth ramp by a constant force. The angle of the ramp
GuDViN [60]

The work done by the force in pulling the block all the way to the top of the ramp is 3.486 kJ.

What is work done?

Work done is equal to product of force applied and distance moved.

Work = Force x Distance

Given is a block with a weight of 620 N is pulled up at a constant speed on a very smooth ramp by a constant force. The angle of the ramp with respect to the horizontal is θ = 23.5° and the length of the ramp is l = 14.1 m.

From the Newton's law of motion,

ma =F-mg sinθ =0

So, the force F = mg sinθ

Plug the values, we get

F = 620N x sin 23.5°

F = 247.224 N

Work done by motor is W= F x d

The force is equal to the weight F = mg

So, W = 247.224 x 14.1

W = 3.486 kJ

Thus, the work done by the force in pulling the block all the way to the top of the ramp is 3.486 kJ.

A neutral boron atom has 6 neutrons and 5 electrons. How many protons does it have?
frez [133]
5 because there is 5 electrons. In order for an atom to be neutral it has to have the same amount of positive and negative charges.
