Answer: 5.26 moles

Explanation:

Given that:

Volume of hydrogen gas V = 8560mL

(since 1000 mL = 1dm3

8560mL = 8560/1000= 8.56dm3)

Standard temperature T = 25°C

Convert temperature in Celsius to Kelvin

(25°C + 273 = 298K)

Pressure P = 1.5atm

Number of moles of hydrogen = ?

Note that Molar gas constant R is a constant with a value of 0.0082 ATM dm3 K-1 mol-1

Then, apply ideal gas equation

pV = nRT

1.5 atm x 8.56dm3 = n x (0.0082 atm dm3 K-1 mol-1 x 298K)

12.84atm dm3 = n x 2.44atm dm3 mol-1

n = (12.84atm dm3 / 2.44atm dm3 mol-1)

n = 5.26 moles

Thus, there are 5.26 moles of Hydrogen, H present in this gas sample.

Rank the following in terms of increasing electronegativity. 1. Na, N, O, Mg, F 2. Na, Mg, N, O, F 3. F, O, N, Na, Mg 4. F, O, N
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

2. Na, Mg, N, O, F (Option 2)

Explanation:

Let's look the electronegativity in the periodic table for each element.

F → 4

Na → 0.9

Mg → 1.2

O → 3.4

N → 3

So the correct orden is Na, Mg, N, O, F

Electronegativity is the ability for the atoms to catch electrons in a bond.

It is a periodic table which increase in a diagonal way, from Fr and Ra, the less electronegatives to F, the most.

Why do scientists publish the results of their invesigation
hram777 [196]

When scientists conduct an experiment and analyze the results, the next step is to write up a report that describes the experiment and the results and submit it for publication in a scientific or medical journal that is “peer reviewed.”

1.Explain the difference between a FIXED VOLUME and an ELASTIC VOLUME
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

Fixed volume is the property of liquid and solid which means that the volume of both solid and liquid remain fixed or constant under fixed temperature and pressure.

Elastic Volumes makes it easy to dynamically increase capacity, tune performance, and change the type of any new or existing current generation volume with no downtime or performance impact.
