Add up what she has bought. Then subtract the amount she has the device that number by how much the poster boards cost and the answer is 4.

I did the actual math.

The answer is Julene has $5.44 left to buy poster boards. This means she can buy 4 whole poster boards with a few cents left over.

If the 2 packs of markers = $9.00

The 1 pack of construction paper = $3.79

The 2 tubes of glue = $4.78

The 1 roll of tape = $1.99

You add all those up together and get $19.56.

Subtract that total from $25 and you have $5.44 left over

If poster board costs $1.29 a sheet. Divide $5.44 by $1.29 and your total is exactly 4.21705426 and 4 is the only whole number there. You can buy 4 whole poster boards with the left over money.
