A)=14 meters because 3.5 times 4 is 14
b)=4 meters because circles don't have any sides
c)=a would give her more space to plant because 14 is bigger than 4

<u>Part a)</u> Find the area of the square

we know that

the area of the square is equal to

A=b^{2}

where

b is the length side of the square

In this problem

b= 3.5\ m

so

A =3.5^{2} =  12.25\ m^{2}

therefore

<u>the answer Part a) is </u>

The area of the square is 12.25\ m^{2}

<u>Part b)</u> Find the area of the circle

we know that

the area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi r^{2}

where

r is the radius of the circle

in this problem

r= 2\ m -----> divide diameter by 2

A =\pi * 2^{2} \\   A=  12.57\ m^{2}

therefore

<u>the answer Part b) is </u>

The area of the circle is 12.57\ m^{2}

<u>Part c)</u> Compare your answers from parts ( a ) and ( b ). Wich garden would give your sister the most space to plant?

we know that

Area of the square=12.25\ m^{2}

Area of the circle=12.57\ m^{2}

so

12.57 > 12.25

Area of circle > Area of square

therefore

<u>the answer part c) is </u>

The most space to plant is the garden with shape of a circle

jeyben [28]

Answer:

4x-5= 5 less than the product of 4 and a number. 4 (x-5)= The product of 4 and the difference of a number and 5.  4(x+5) = The product of 4 and the sum of a number and 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

I took the test online in K12 and when I reviewed it said that those are the correct answer.

20 points if you can answer this! :D
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

The answer is Ari, Beth, Cindy

Explanation

Ari

  • 2¾ miles is 2.75 miles
  • speed of 2½ miles per hour is 2.5 mi/h

DISTANCE = SPEED × TIME

t = d/s

= 2.75/2.5

= 1.1hr

= 66mins

Beth

  • 1¾ miles is 1.75 miles
  • speed of 1¼ miles per hour is 1.25 mi/h

t = d/s

= 1.75/1.25

=1.4hr

=84mins

Cindy

  • 1hr 21mins is 81mins

(Correct me if i am wrong)

You have to find the domain and range
Dahasolnce [82]

Answer:

First off, we look for which circles are open or closed.

We start with an open interval since the circle on the left is open and end with a closed interval since the circle on the right is closed.

Domain is all x values, Range is all y values

The graph shows the continous function going from -3 to 1 on the x axis.

According to the circles, this means our domain will be (-3,1].

Now, the range doesn't care about if its closed or not. So we can say the graph is on the y axis from -4 and 0. This means the range is -4<y<0

I used different notations for both just incase you need to represent your answer differently :)

-3<x<1 & (-3,1] . Range is [-4,0]. 0>y>-4 looks correct as-well.
