we know that

In this problem

$b= 3.5\ m$

so

Part b) Find the area of the circle

we know that

the area of the circle is equal to

$A=\pi r^{2}$

where

r is the radius of the circle

the answer Part b) is

Part c) Compare your answers from parts ( a ) and ( b ). Wich garden would give your sister the most space to plant?

we know that

Area of the square=$12.25\ m^{2}$

Area of the circle=$12.57\ m^{2}$

so

$12.57 > 12.25$

Area of circle > Area of square

therefore
