The internet has connected people in a more global scale, and has allowed information to be shared faster than ever, (big improvement from newspapers, for example, news). It also allows people to share information (like brainly), give people entertainment (games, youtube, etc) and has  a lot of people stuck to staring at a screen (like me)
The internet is still expanding today, becoming more powerful and high-tech, that information can be found in a couple of seconds on topics.

hope this helps

algol13

The public's trust in the media has generally declined in the past decade, yet print media expresses the highest degree of trust.

Media is solely responsible to provide information to the people of the country. People tend to be framing their knowledge and their point of views using this media itself, yet nowadays media has started exploiting this trust and coming up with irrelevant news.

The information media is central to our society, and talks about various problems and solution. The print media has now taken a higher degree of trust in the eyes of the people, because people can find relevant news in their choice of newspaper and can also filter the news they don't wish to go ahead with.

Can you provide one example of egocentrism and one example of sociocentrism you have noticed in your own life. Briefly discuss h
Zolol [24]
<span>I sometimes catch myself being somewhat egocentric. I think this can cause individuals to have a more difficult time empathizing with others, which is something I certainly struggle with when I am feeling egocentric. With sociocentrism, I feel that certainly brings others to have difficulty empathizing with their peers, or others from different groups. I attempt to stay open minded and remember EVERYONE is human, and no one is more valuable than anyone else!</span>

Are individuals empowered and do they understand their human rights or when the rights
Akimi4 [234]
This depends for example on where the individuals live and for example in many countries of Western Europe people might be relatively well informaed of their rights

But generally I believe people are not too empowered because:
1) they don't challenge unfavorable work contracts
2) they don't take sick leave even if they can
3) they don't challenge their supervisors out of fear of loosing a job
4) they rarely seek justice in court
5) they might not be aware of their right to sick leave for example

A reason not to view prostitution as simply a matter of personal choice involving adults is that
GrogVix [38]
Prostitution is legal in some countries, yet illegal in other countries. It can be viewed not as a matter of personal choice if the situation is seen in the perspective of the law, or rather, is seen in a legal perspective. If prostitution is illegal, then personal choice should not be held as an answer for choosing prostitution. The law says that it is illegal, and therefore, personal choice does not legalize prostitution in any way.
