Answer: NaClO

Explanation: NaClO contains both ionic and covalent bonding.

In this compound, Cl and O have a covalent bonding in which the electrons are shared between the two atoms .

Sodium atom has a charge of one positive unit that is Na+ as it has one electron in it outermost shell whic it can afford to lose. whereas ClO- has one negative unit charge thus these two ions can attract each other and form an ionic bonding.

NaClO contains both ionic and covalent bonding. The ClO- has a net -1 charge but Cl and O are covalently bonded. The Na+ ion is positively charged so Na+ and ClO- forms ionic bond.

Hope this helps!

Well, you see a certain color when a certain part of lightis reflected rather than and order by a material. For example, you see red because it was the only part of light that reflected.

for: rate=k[A]^x determine the value of x if the rate doubles when [A] is doubled; and if the rate quadruples when [A] is double
Rom4ik [11]
1. The value of x if the rate doubles when [A] is doubled is that x = 1

2. Then if the rate quadruples when [A] is doubled is that x= 2
Since x=1 when the rate doubles, so if it quadruples, it will be times 2.
So the solution to this is 1 times 2= 2
x=2

Methylcyclopentene reacting with reacting with sulfuric acid and water
dlinn [17]

Answer:

The product is 1-methylcyclopentanol

Explanation:

The acid-catalyzed hydration of alkenes involves the addition of a water molecule to a C=C double bond.

H₂O + C=C ⟶ H-C-C-OH

An H atom adds to one of the C atoms, and an OH group adds to the other

This reaction follows Markovnikov’s rule — the H adds to the C atom that has more hydrogen atoms, and the OH adds to the more substituted carbon.

The steps of the mechanism are:

 1. The aqueous sulfuric acid generates hydronium ions
 2. The nucleophilic π electrons attack an H atom on the hydronium ion, forming a carbocation on the more substituted C atom.
 3. The lone pair electrons on a water molecule attack the carbocation , forming an oxonium ion.
 4. Another water molecule removes the extra proton.

The product is the alcohol with the OH group on the more substituted carbon — 1-methylcyclopentanol.
