The answer is: it made the lives of rural farmers even more difficult, adding the problems of the Great Depression and the boll weevil.

Georgia lived its worst recorded drought in 1930 and 1931, this came along with the Great Drepression, many farmers had to migrate to other states iun search for jobs or a land to cultivate. It also created dust storms, because since there were no crops due to the drought stron winds created dust storms, schools were even canceled because of dust storms.

Mellie has not been out of the house in three weeks because she is afraid that people are following her and planning on hurting
Helga [31]

Answer:

Mellie has not been out of the house in three weeks because she is afraid that people are following her and planning on hurting her, which makes her very worried. Mellie’s neighbors are worried about her. Which of the following statements does NOT characterize Mellie’s experience?

a) Her behavior may be adaptive

b) Her behavior is upsetting to others

c) Her behavior deviates from social norms

d) Her behavior is personally distressing

Explanation:

It is clear from the details of Mellie's situation that her behavior is distressing to her and her neighbors. It is also not in keeping with the unwritten rules of society, or social norms.

However, Mellie's behavior is not adaptive. Adaptive behavior is behavior that enables people to get along and survive in their environment with the least amount of disagreement or awkwardness with others. This is exactly the opposite of Mellie's behavior.

How does the soil of Mesopotamia continue to be replenished (refilled) with nutrients (vitamins)?
mart [117]

Answer:

The Tigris and Euphrates rivers made it possible to grow wheat on the arid Mesopotamian plains, but the dry climate eventually defeated human engineering. Irrigation brought water to fields faster than it could drain out. As salt-rich groundwater rose and surface water evaporated, mineral salts built up in the soils. Farmers switched to more salt-tolerant grains like barley, but the harder they farmed, the less they harvested. After about 2,000 years, the once-fertile land of southern Mesopotamia was barren.
