Blighting influences are also called blighted property. It refers to those properties which are in bad physical state.

This type of property is a danger to the people who live nearby. The property can be either land, set of houses, buildings. It can also include the entire neighborhood. This describes a wide range of urban problems. It can range from degrading conditions of the buildings, of health, environment. The particular area can have varied social-economic problems. So proper urban renewal plan is required. The slums and it is deteriorating structure, inadequate Street layout, unsanitary conditions. Sometimes unusual topography can also be a factor for the degradation. The public is unaware and they do not take the initiative of improvement. Some buildings are unsafe for living. There is the existence of the conditions which endanger life.  These buildings need improvement. The Environmental contamination of the buildings. The improvement of the building needs a high-level of municipal services.
