Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

complete the square:

Take a quadratic equation : ax²+bx+c and turn it to

a(x+d)²+e

d=b/2a and e=c-b²/4a

y=x^2 - 14x + 48

a=1 , b=-14 , c=48

d=-14/2=-7

e= 48-14²/4

e= 48-49

e=-1

complete the square  for y=x²-14x+48

y= (x-7)²-1

Basile [38]
Two of butterflies, side by side, would be abot 7.4 together. 8.2 - 7.4 = 0.8.
that 0.8 is roughly 1/3 of a butterfly. so 2 full butterflies and 1/3. rounding off, it would just be two butterflies.

Select the correct answer. Given the following formula, solve for a. A. B. C. D.
s=a+b+C/2
nexus9112 [7]

Hey there!

The answer to your question is a = s - b - C/2

To solve for "a", we must get "a" on it's own side of the equal sign. We can first subtract "s" from both sides:

0 = a + b + C/2 - s

Then, we can subtract a from both sides:

-a = b + C/2 - s

Finally, we divide both sides by -1, so a is by itself.

a = -b - C/2 + s

And we can rearrange it to the standard form:

a = s - b - C/2

Good luck, and hope it helped! Have a great day!

5(a - 2b) - 3(a - 2b)    |use distributive property: a(b - c) = ab - ac

= 5a - 10b - 3a + 6b

= (5a - 3a) + (-10b + 6b)

= 2a - 4b
