You would divide the cheetahs distance which is 300 feet  by the cheetahs time which is 2.92 seconds
distance÷time
300÷2.92= 102.7 seconds or 103 seconds if you round up
the cheetahs speed is 102.7 seconds or 103 seconds

4x + 6y - z=-18<br> 3x +2y - 4z = -24<br> - 5x + 3y + 2z = 15<br> find x y and z
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

x = -2, y = -1, z = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

4x + 6y - z=-18

z  = 18  + 4 x  +  6 y

3x +2y - 4z = -24

z  = 6  + (3x)/ 4  +  y /2

- 5x + 3y + 2z = 15

z = 15/2 + (5x)/2 - (3y)/2

18  + 4 x  +  6 y = 6  + (3x)/ 4  +  y /2  = 15/2 + (5x)/2 - (3y)/2

x = -22y/13 - 48/13

4(-22y/13 - 48/13) + 6y - (15/2 + (5(-22y/13 - 48/13))/2 - (3y)/2) = -18

Compute the output value of the variables x and y with respect to the input values of x, y, and z coefficients.

A major metropolitan newspaper selected a simple random sample of 1,600 readers from their list of 100,000 subscribers.
Tpy6a [65]

Answer: (0.36845,\ 0.43155)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let p be the population proportion of  readers who would like more coverage of local news.

As per given , we have

sample size :=1600

sample proportion : \hat{p}=40\%=0.40

The confidence interval for population proportion is given by :-

\hat{p}\pm z^* \sqrt{\dfrac{\hat{p}(1-\hat{p})}{n}}

From z-table ,

For 99% confidence interval the z-value is 2.576.

Substitute all the values in the above formula , we get

The 99% confidence interval for the proportion of readers who would like more coverage of local news as

0.40\pm(2.576) \sqrt{\dfrac{0.40(1-0.40)}{1600}}

0.40\pm(2.576) \sqrt{\dfrac{0.24}{1600}}

0.40\pm(2.576) \sqrt{0.00015}

0.40\pm(2.576) (0.0122474487139)

0.40\pm0.03155

(0.40-0.03155,\ 0.40+0.03155)=(0.36845,\ 0.43155)

Hence, the 99% confidence interval for the proportion of readers who would like more coverage of local news is (0.36845,\ 0.43155) .
