Which of the following statements about shortages and surpluses are accurate? Select all that apply.
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

Option B about shortage is correct &

Option C about surplus is correct

Explanation:

Why "B" because if the price is less than the equilibrium price, then people will buy the products more and it also states the demand for it is greater than the equilibrium quantity leaving a shortage (less number of the quantity actually wanted)

Why "C"  because if the price is more than the equilibrium price, then people will buy the products less and it also states the demand for it is less than the equilibrium quantity leaving a surplus (an excess number of the quantity actually wanted will be left)

What are three advantages and three disadvantages of the Bessemer process?
Mama L [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Bessemer process was invented by Henry Bessemer and was used for the production of steel from molten pig iron.

The Bessemer process had the following advantages:

1. Steel could now be produced in bulk

2. The process of making steel became less labor-intensive

3.Due to its small and compact size, major repairs can be carried out within short periods of time

Shortfalls of the Bessemer process:

1. The Bessemer process was not able to remove the phosphorous found in the Pig iron of some types effectively, thus making it inefficient in that aspect

2. Steel produced through the Bessemer process always had retention of a small amount of Nitrogen from the air blast which adversely affected its structural stability and longevity when used for construction.

3. The Bessemer process usually produces inferior quality steel associated with blow holes and inclusions

What changes made the us population grow in urban center
Sonbull [250]
The years of industrial expansions after the civil war Brought significant changes to American society. The country became increasingly urban, and cities grew not only in term of population but also in size, with skyscrapers pushing cities upward and transportation extending them outward. Part of urban population growth was fueled by an unprecedented mass immigration to the United States that continued unabated into the first two decades of the twentieth century. The promise that America held for these new immigrants contrasted sharply with the rise of legalized segregation of African‐Americans in the South after Reconstruction. Meanwhile, ongoing industrialization and urbanization left their mark on how people spent their daily lives and used their leisure time.

How the work culture in japan affects emotional well-being?
Feliz [49]

Japanese employees work extremely long hours with no extra pay. There have been several instances of people physically working themselves to death. Employees are not protected my employment laws like in western cultures. Japanese work culture revolves around pleasing your superiors and not being seen as a failure to your colleagues by putting your own needs before the needs of the company. Japanese workers are not seen as individuals but as part of a collective. The level of emotional well being among Japanese workers is very low and negative. They are not encouraged to look after their own well being and health. They are constantly at risk of severe mental and physical health problems due to overwork and lack of concern for their well being by employers.
