Answer:

$556,842

Explanation:

Cost:

Merchandise available for sale:

= Beginning inventory + Purchases + Fright-in

= $390,000  + $2,055,000 + $129,000

= $2,574,000

Retail:

Merchandise available for sale:

= Beginning inventory + Purchases + Markups

= $594,000  + $3,300,000 + $72,000

= $3,966,000

Retail total = $3,966,000

Ending inventory at retail = Retail total - Markdowns - Net sales

                                          = $3,966,000 - $108,000 - $3,000,000

                                          = $858,000

Cost to retail ratio = $2,574,000 ÷ ($3,000,000 + $858,000 )

                              = $2,574,000 ÷ $3,858,000

                              = $64.90%

Ending inventory at retail = $858,000

And,

Cost o retail ratio = 64.90%

Therefore,

Ending inventory at cost = $858,000 × 64.90%

                                          = $556,842

jasenka [17]

Answer:

I can put a call through to the organisers of the trip explaining that I have cash but it's not within reach and that if they reserved the spot for me, they'd get the money as soon as I can access it. Given that I am a valuable member of the student store staff, that reputation should count in times like this.

To borrow money from the cashbox would be a huge ethical risk and can easily be termed mismanagement of funds especially where the store policy does not allow such.

My value in the store lies largely on my integrity and the trust they students have invested in my person.

I'd rather miss the road trip than make a regrettable unethical decision.

Cheers!

Aleks [24]

Answer:

10% of exam score

Explanation:

Opportunity Cost is the cost of next best alternative, foregone (sacrifised)  while making a choice.

Example : If a person has option to have an apple or an orange, & choses to have apple. The opportunity cost of having an apple is the sacrifised orange.

Given : A night before mid time exam, spent while watching movies - later lead to fall in exam grade from 70 % to 60%

The opportunity cost of movies watched, is the sacrifised grade of exam, which would have gotten, if the time would have spent in studying. The corresponding grade lost = 70% grade achievable - 60% grade achieved. Hence, the opportunity cost = 10% of exam score.
