Answer:

IRR = 8.77%

Explanation:

Internal rate of return is the discount rate that equates the after-tax cash flows from an investment to the amount invested

IRR can be calculated with a financial calculator

Incremental IRR can be determined by subtracting the cash flows of the project with the smaller cost from the cash flows of the project with the higher initial cost

Incremental cash flows

Cash flow in year 0 = 639,700 -  411,200 = -228,500

Cash flow in year 1 = 288,000 -  186,000 = 102,000

Cash flow in year 2 = 319,000 - 178,000 = 141,000

Cash flow in year 3 =  165,000 -  145,000 = 20,000

IRR = 8.77%

To find the IRR using a financial calculator:

1. Input the cash flow values by pressing the CF button. After inputting the value, press enter and the arrow facing a downward direction.

2. After inputting all the cash flows, press the IRR button and then press the compute button.

3. Press compute

Assuming that the prices of A and B are $1.50 and $1, respectively, and that Mr. Chen has $24 to spend, plot his budget line and
Margarita [4]

Answer:

consume 8 units of A and 12 units of B

Explanation:

given data

prices of A = $1.50

prices of B = $1

Budget constraint = $24

consider data indifference curve

unit A         unit  B

16                 6

12                 8

8                  12

4                  24

solution

As graph, Mr. Chen will buy 8A and 12 B goods.

so Budget constraint is here express as

24 = 8 × $1.50 + 12 × 1.00

so here

MRS = \frac{PB}{PA}  rule  of equilibrium

so here MRS is

MRS = \frac{8}{12}

\frac{PB}{PA} =  \frac{1.00}{1.50} = \frac{2}{3}

MRS = \frac{PB}{PA} = \frac{2}{3}

At higher prices, the price elasticity of demand is likely to be ________, whereas it is likely to be ________ at lower prices.
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

2. elastic; inelastic

Explanation:

The price elasticity of demand, the amount consumers demand from a particular price are different for each good or service, and when the price changes, the response shown as the change in the quantity requested is different for each good (even at a different price level for one good).

In the face of price changes, the severity (or degree of sensitivity) of the reaction of consumers in the form of changing the amount they buy against this change is measured by the price elasticity of the demand, which is also called demand elasticity. This flexibility is expressed by a coefficient.

The price elasticity coefficient of demand is equal to the ratio of the percentage change in the quantity demanded to the percentage change in price in the face of a small change in price.

The Price elasticity will be elastic when it equals or more than 1, if not it will be inelastic with the amount of less than 1.
