general admission to the fair is 10.00. each ride costs 4.75. if lisa has 75.00 to spend at the fair, what method can be used to
Elis [28]

Answer:

well the answer is 13

Step-by-step explanation:

The way you can figure this out is subtract 10 from 75 to get 65 and then you divide 65 by 4.75 to get 13 with a huge decimal but you just have 13 because you cant go for part of a ride.

Hi Genius~<br><br> Can you help me please ? Thanks! Please show and explain your work :)
Murljashka [212]
The translation that maps triangle ABC to A prime B prime C prime would be a reflection across the y axis. This is because when you reflect something, you are pretty much flipping it. When you reflect across the y axis, you are flipping the triangle across the y axis. Take one point for example. I will use C. Notice how the point C is 3 units away from the y axis. So the same way you would move the point 3 units right from the y axis, and that would be your new point. This sounds kind of complicated, so I will give you a list of rules to make it more simple.

Reflection across y axis: (x,y) would be equal to (-x, y)
Reflection across x axis: (x,y) would be equal to (x, -y)
Reflection across y = x: (x,y) would be equal to (y,x)
Reflection across y = x: (x,y) would be equal to (-y,-x).

A reflection across y = x would be when you have a line that for every 1 it rises, it goes right 1. It is a positive line, as opposed to the y = -x line. It also has a slope of 1. I will try attaching a graph if I can.

Anyway, as I was saying. So pretty much if you don't want to go through the logic, to see whether a figure is reflected, just try each of these rules and if one works then you have your answer. Otherwise it would not be a reflection.

Thanks for being a great mod and hope this helps! :D

A long distance runner starts at the beginning of a trail and runs at a rate of 4 miles per hour. Two hours later, a cyclist sta
kenny6666 [7]
Recall your d = rt, distance = rate * time.

the runner takes off and goes at 4mph.

the cyclist takes off 2 hours later, and goes 14mph.

now, when they both meet, namely the cyclist comes from behind and meets ahead the runner, the distances both of them travelled, is say "d" miles for both, since both of them are "d" miles from the starting point.

if by them the cyclist has been going for say "t" hours, we know she took 2 hours later, so by the the runner has been running for "t + 2" hours then.

\bf \begin{array}{lcccl}&#10;&\stackrel{miles}{distance}&\stackrel{mph}{rate}&\stackrel{hours}{time}\\&#10;&------&------&------\\&#10;Runner&d&4&t+2\\&#10;Cyclist&d&14&t&#10;\end{array}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\begin{cases}&#10;d=4(t+2)\\&#10;\boxed{d}=14t\\&#10;-------\\&#10;\boxed{14t}=4(t+2)&#10;\end{cases}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;14t=4t+8\implies 10t=8\implies t=\cfrac{8}{10}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;t=\cfrac{4}{5}~hr\impliedby \textit{or 48 minutes}

Volgvan

Answer:

16z+12

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's simplify step-by-step.

4z+3+4z+3+4z+3+4z+3

Combine Like Terms:

=4z+3+4z+3+4z+3+4z+3

=(4z+4z+4z+4z)+(3+3+3+3)

=16z+12

Hope this helps!
