Answer:

Reactants: K = 2, S = 1, Co = 1, Cl = 2; Products: K = 2, S = 1, Co = 1, Cl = 2

Explanation:

The reaction is a double replacement reaction so the anions (Cl⁻ and S²⁻) switch places.

1 K₂S + 1 CoCl₂ ⇒ 2 KCl + 1 CoS (balanced chemical equation)

On the reactants and products side, K = 2, S = 1, Co = 1, and Cl = 2.

Hope that helps.

If you are supposed to put in 2/4 a cup sugar for a recipe, can you just put in a half cup of sugar?
natta225 [31]
I would assume so.

Given \frac{2}{4}, we can simplify the fraction to \frac{1}{2}

Both would obtain the same proportions, so I don't see why putting a half cup of sugar would make things any different.

Hope this is the answer you are looking for.

The rock in a particular iron ore deposit contains 82 % Fe2O3 by mass. How many kilograms of the rock must be processed to obtai
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

Mass of rock = 4533.4 kg

Explanation:

Percent composition is percentage by the mass of element present in the compound.

Given that the Fe_2O_3 is 82 % by mass.

It means that 82 kg of Fe_2O_3 is present in 100 kg of rock

To find the mass of rock which contains 2600 kg of iron

2600 kg = 2600*1000 g

2 moles of iron are present in 1 mole of Fe_2O_3

Molar mass of iron = 55.845 g/mol

Mass of 2 moles = 55.845 * 2 = 111.69 g/mol

Molar mass of Fe_2O_3 = 159.69 g/mol

It means,

111.69 g of iron are present in 159.69 g of Fe_2O_3

1 g of iron is present in 159.69/111.69 g of Fe_2O_3

2600*1000 g is present in (159.69/111.69)*2600*1000 g of Fe_2O_3

Mass of Fe_2O_3 = 3717378.47 g =3717.38 kg

Thus,

82 kg of Fe_2O_3 is present in 100 kg of rock

1 kg of Fe_2O_3 is present in 100/82 kg of rock

3717.38 kg of Fe_2O_3 is present in (100/82)*3717.38 kg of rock

Mass of rock = 4533.4 kg

5. HOW do you think ideas like the periodic table get widely known and accepted in the scientific
Paladinen [302]

The periodic table is organized in such a way that they provide a great deal of information about elements and how they are related to each other.

Explanation:

The periodic table is used for better understanding of patterns and relationships between elements. With the elements arranged in the periodic table allow us to make synthetic elements.

This periodic table helped scientist to discover the elements that are needed for humans to survive. For example plants and animals need elements to grow and chlorine helps animals to digest food and in humans iron helps to carry oxygen around body and chlorine that convert the sun energy to food.

It provides information about elements and how they are related to each other in easy method. They are used to predict the properties of elements.

Thus, the Changes in periodic table is from the creation of new chemical elements and it helps the society in various applications that are used in mining, engineering and other occupations.
