Rosalie has 30 plants in her garden

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that Elizabeth has 1\frac{7}{10} as many plants as Rosalie has in her garden

Also given that Elizabeth has 51 plants

Let "a" be the number of plants in Elizabeth garden

Let "b" be the number of plants in Rosalie garden

So according to given information,

Number of plants in Elizabeth garden = 1\frac{7}{10} \times number of plants in rosalie garden

a = 1\frac{7}{10} \times b\\\\51 = \frac{17}{10} \times b\\\\51 = 1.7 \times b\\\\b = \frac{51}{1.7}\\\\b = 30

Thus number of plants in Rosalie garden is 30

You multiply the top and bottom by 5, as 5x20 is 100

13x5 is 65

Therefore, 65 out of every hundred cans, or 65%, are recycled

The clinical literature reports that the duration of a typical cold is roughly 18 days. Researchers wanted to know if people ten
never [62]

Answer:

0.65

Step-by-step explanation:

Confidence interval can be calculated using the Mean and Margin of error with M±ME where

  • M is the average expected cold days of typical cold.
  • ME is the Margin of error for the confidence interval.

In the question it is given that the researchers reported a 95% confidence interval of 6.9 to 8.2 days for the mean expected duration of typical cold.

The minimum value in the confidence interval is M-ME =6.9

The maximum value in the confidence interval is M+ME=8.2

Then we get 8.2-6.9=1.3=M+ME-(M-ME)=2× ME

From this we get ME=0.65

igomit [66]
<h3><u>Answer:</u></h3>

<h3>-16 : 8 ✓ </h3>

<h3><u>Solution ( step-by-step ): </u></h3>

The temperature changes -16 degrees ( negative because it wents down ) in 8 hours , So to know the chance per hour, We divide the number of degrees by the number of hours. If we call DT the change of Temperature each hour, we have that:

→ DT = -16 degrees/8 hours = -2 degrees / hour ..

Hope this helps you :) ..
