In the poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe, one way the author creates a unity of effect of longing is with the picture of Lenore on the wall.

Explanation: Throughout the poem, Lenore is the reoccurring element of the narrator's longing, and is the main focus of the narrator's thoughts.

Even though you didn’t give any options, I can help you. While reading ‘’the Raven’’ you always come on phrase ‘’nevermore’’ (as everybody knows it is the only word he knows) replied by the Raven. The repetition of this word is actually the main point that creates a unity of effect of longing in the poem which reveals the sadness and despair that author wanted to bring to the reader by repeating.

Plzzz help me i have project and i have to do group work for the student about repetition
meriva
So, repetition is used in poems to show emphasis on a particular point. For your groupwork project you could possibly write a poem or a song and add repeated words to show you understand how to use repetition and when to use it.

Momaday discusses the “irony” of the term “New World” (pars. 3–4). What are his reasons for this characterization?
GREYUIT [131]

Answer: N. Scott Momaday - who is a native American himself - finds ironic that white people claimed that they were arriving into the "new world" when in reality there were ancient civilizations already living on those lands, and this claim is one that they have continued to sustain up to this day.

When Europeans arrived in 1492, there were very large Indian populations scattered all across America with a rich history and culture, an element that vastly defers the logic of the discovery of a "new world".
