The answer for the first blank is 36 and the answer for the second blank is 97.

To complete the square, we first take half of the value of b. The value of b in this equation is -12; -12/2 = -6.

Next we square the value we just got: (-6)² = 36.

This is what we add to both sides of the equation, giving us:
x²-12x+36=61+36

Combining like terms on the right, we have
x²-12x+36=97

What is JK? please explain/show your work on how you got your answer
Travka [436]

Answer:

 • JK = 20 m

Step-by-step explanation:

 • A line segment that connects two midpoints of the sides of a triangle is called a midsegment.
 • A triangle midsegment is parallel to the third side of the triangle and is half of the length of the third side.

Point J is midpoint of side HI as HJ = JI

Point K is midpoint of side GI as GK = KI

JK is midsegment as connects the midpoints of the sides

JK = 1/2HG as per property of midsegment

 • 6x - 4 = 10x/2
 • 6x - 4 = 5x
 • 6x - 5x = 4
 • x = 4

JK = 6x - 4 = 6*4 - 4 = 24 - 4 = 20 m

. A used car dealer says that the mean price of a two-year old sedan (in good condition) is at least $20,500. You suspect this c
Taya2010 [7]

Answer: There is sufficient evidence to reject the dealer's claim that the mean price is at least $20,500

Step-by-step explanation:

given that;

n = 14

mean Ж = 19,850

standard deviation S = 1,084

degree of freedom df = n - 1 = ( 14 -1 ) = 13

H₀ : ц ≥ 20,500

H₁ : ц < 20,500

Now the test statistics

t = (Ж - ц) / ( s/√n)

t = ( 19850 - 20500) / ( 1084/√14)

t = -2.244

we know that our degree of freedom df = 13

from the table, the area under the t-distribution of the left of (t=-2.244) and for (df=13) is 0.0215

so P = 0.0215

significance ∝ = 0.05

we can confidently say that since our p value is less than the significance level, we reject the null hypothesis ( H₀ : ц ≥ 20,500 )

There is sufficient evidence to reject the dealer's claim that the mean price is at least $20,500

Suppose that a local trout population exhibits exponential growth by doubling every 4 years. Considering that the initial popula
antoniya [11.8K]
Okay, so this is just a basic multiplication problem. first, we need to divide to figure out how much the trout population grows after 1 year. If it doubles in 4 years, then it will rise by a quarter each single year. So to put that in terms of fractions, then for every year, the equation would be 250x1/4. So then we do the equation, coming up with 62.5. This means that the population rises roughly 63 fish a year. So after 1 year, you will have roughly 313 fish. (312.5 to be exact). Then to get that by ten years, we can just multiply the number that we got for one year by ten. 62.5x10=625. So then we add the 250 original trout, and 250+625=875. So after 10 years, there will be 875 trout.
