Answer : The products formed on the decomposition of ammonia are, hydrogen gas (H_2) and nitrogen gas (N_2).

Explanation :

Decomposition reaction : It is defined as the chemical reaction in which the larger molecules decomposes to give two or more smaller molecules.

When the ammonia (NH_3) decomposes then it gives hydrogen gas and nitrogen gas as a product.

The balanced chemical reaction will be,

2NH_3\rightarrow 3H_2+N_2

In this reaction, NH_3 is the reactant and H_2 and N_2 are the products.

By the stoichiometry we can say that 2 moles of ammonia decomposes to give 3 moles of hydrogen gas and 1 mole of nitrogen gas as a product.

Therefore, the products formed on the decomposition of ammonia are, hydrogen gas (H_2) and nitrogen gas (N_2).

if 10 ml of acetone (60) is diluted with water to a total solution volume of 200 ml, what is the percent by volume of acetone in
sergey [27]

Answer:

5%

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Volume of original acetone before dilution = 10ml

Volume of diluted solution = 200ml

Unknown:

Percent volume of acetone in the solution = ?

Solution:

To find the percent volume of acetone in the diluted solution, use the expression below;

 Percent volume of acetone = \frac{volume of original acetone}{diluted volume}  x 100

Insert the parameters and solve;

 Percent volume of acetone  = \frac{10}{200}  x 100 = 5%
