7b^2-8b+3=2 \\ 7b^2-8b+1=0 \\ (7x-1)(x-1)=0 \\ x=1 \\ x= \frac{1}{7}

Subtract the 2 over from the 3 which leaves you with 1 as the constant. Then you have 7b^2-8b+1. Slide the 7 over to the 1 using the slide and divide method. This leaves you with b^2-8b+7. Then just think "what multiplies to get 7, and adds to -8." The answer to that is (x-7)(x-1). Then you have to divide by 7 because you slid it earlier. So that gives you the answer of : (x-1)(7x-1).

The graph of y = x^3 is transformed as shown in the graph below. Which equation represents the transformed function?
Kay [80]

Answer:

y = -6 * x^3

Step-by-step explanation:

We can model the new function as:

f(x) = ax^3

the function y = x^3 have positive values of y for positive values of x, and negative values of y for negative values of x.

As the negative values of x have positive values of y and vice-versa, the first change is to put a negative sign in front of x^3, so we know that 'a' is negative.

Then, for x=1 we have y = -6, so:

-6 = a*1^3

a = -6

So the equation of the transformed function is:

y = -6 * x^3

Sarah rides her bike three days a week. She rides for 10 minutes a day. How many minutes does Sarah spend riding her bike after
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

1 hour after 2 weeks

Step-by-step explanation:

She rides 3 days a week, and 10 minutes a day. Multiplying 3 and 10 gets you 30 minutes a week. Over a 2 week period, that is 60 minutes (1 hour)

What is the length of the hypotenuse of the triangle?<br> 7 ft<br> 4 ft
stepladder [879]

Answer:

√65 ft = 8.1 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

We solve using Pythagoras Theorem

c² = a² + b²

c = √a² + b²

Where c = Length of the Hypotenuse

a = 4ft , b = 7ft

Hence

c = √4² + 7²

c = √16 + 49

c = √(65)

c = 8.0622577483 ft

Approximately = 8.1 ft

Therefore, the length of the hypotenuse is √65 ft = 8.1 ft
